Miele C1 vacuum - so difficult to push it forwards on carpet?

Why is it so resistant to being pushed forward on a low pile carpet? I’ve tried both the carpet and the hard floor switch on the head of the vacuum but it’s still so hard and resistant to the forward motion? What am I missing!

Do you have the correct setting on the body of the machine? Max will glue the head to the floor! The carpet or quiet setting will work better.

Good to hear it's powerful as I've just ordered one. Turn down the suction a bit?
