Can anyone recommend a lightweight cordless vacuum where you don't have to hold the button down.

Shark. I chose mine for that exact reason

Vax blade. Just push on. It’s light enough that I can use it with arthritis in my hands and back.

Shark or the Bosch Athlet

Try the Shark one. I’m impressed with ours

Another vote for Vax one

I've got a Samsung jet and it's great

We have a Samsung Jet 75 pet. You don't have to hold button down. Recommend it.

Thank you so much for all the brilliant suggestions. They are so helpful

I have a small shark where you just press the power button once to turn it on, which is good. I also have a Dyson. I just got this little widget which you attach to the Dyson press button, and it holds it in - so you don’t have to keep your finger on it.

‘AIEVE Trigger Lock for Dyson Vacuum Cleaner,Trigger Lock Power Button Off/On Switch Accessory Holder for Dyson V15 V11 V10 Absolute/Animal/Motorhead Vacuum Cleaner,Free Your Finger ‘

I got mine from the Aieve Store on Amazon. It’s a trigger lock for the Dyson button. 5.99.
