Dishwasher problem

It was been flashing H20 a couple of times through the cycle though it seems to be washing the pots fine. Hubby poured some water in it this morning to check the drain and 2.5 hours later it hasn't all drained away. I had planned to tunit with a cleaner but hubby has said not to as it might flood the floor and it seems there is a blockage. Any clues as to anything I can do as the pots are piling up and I have tonnes of stuff to do? DH will sort it tonight anyway but trying to get ahead. TIA.

Have you cleaned all your filters?

It is okay inside the machine. It has to be the drain. It is annoying.

does anyone know if you can put them on their sides without damaging them?

Is it integrated? Ours has a switch, way underneath the kickboard that needs reset from time to time - usually when it doesn't finish a cycle and / or the water runs cold and / or doesn't drain away. We had a service agreement, and the engineer came out once and told us that there was very little that could ever go wrong with a dishwasher - it's always either that switch or pressing a combination of the buttons on the door to reset the system.

That engineer has saved us hundreds of pounds over the years, because our machine breaks down at least twice a year and we can always fix it.

Ours can be pulled out, which hubby did last night, and it has stopped doing the H20 beeps but now the salt light is lit even though DH and I have both put some in.
