Usually use liquid laundry washing powder....

Will powder will be ok to use on 40degree wash? Or will it clog the machine.?
I only really wash at 40.

Thanks

It'll be completely fine, this is a normal choice. Also fine at 30.

@ViscountessMelbourne thank you :)
May be a silly question but is it better in the drawer rather than barrel?

Drawer

I always use powder and put it straight into the machine. Every so often I put some soda crystals into the drawer to keep it clean.

Straight in the drum.

Put it straight in the drum, that's what every washing machine technician I've ever come across has said. My understanding is that liquid is much worse for your machine (makes the pies slimy).
