I’m so embarrassed to post this but what can I do about my hob!? It happened after the first use and has just got worse and worse. I’ve tried cleaning it with many different products but it’s not shifting

Have you tried barkeeper's friend?

soupfiend · 23/04/2024 18:46

Thats interesting, I dont hae a hob like yours but I bought a new casserole dish yesterday and it said that for hobs like that (dont know the name), the dish itself might cause marks on first use (of the dish) but that it would come off with normal cleaning products

Did you use brand new pans on it?

DirtyDensDog · 23/04/2024 18:49

You need a knife like this. Get the stain a little wet then use the knife.

@PoppingTomorrow I haven’t! I’ll try that it looks like they have a hob kit on Amazon

@DirtyDensDog oh yes I have one of these for my oven door, I’ll give it a go

@soupfiend oh that is interesting, we did use new pans on it… the hob unit is new(ish) hopefully we can get the stains off because I’m so upset it looks horrible!!!
