If your bath is looking dull then it's probably a build up of scale. I use bicarbonate of soda first on myn mixed with water and scrub it, then I wash with flash bathroom cleaner.

Try washing it with vinegar (50/50 solution). I have started using it on my sinks and they are now very sparkly!

I like OZclean.

Stinks though

shinyshoes · 01/04/2008 15:03

Whats wrong with bleach? I use it all the time for all my work surfaces, you can't get cleaner than bleach!

babyjjbaby · 01/04/2008 16:00

when u have had a deep bath don't run the water away put 2 cups of washingpowder in it and leave to soak for couple of hours the rinse and use washinp up liquid to clean it

SlightlyMadSweet · 01/04/2008 16:14

Bleach is v toxic
Bleach doesn't clean things it is not a detergent - it does not remove dirt. It bleaches dirt (takes colour out of it so you can't see it).

It is however a v good disenfectant so does have some uses in that context.

cheesesarnie · 02/04/2008 11:29

like that idea babyjbaby.will try tonight.
id defiantly prefer not to use bleach,i dont even think i have any in the house.

Limelite spray but not all the time - just every now and then, if you live in a hardwater area as I do. Not as powerful as bleach or viakal. And on a two for one at Waitrose!

cheesesarnie · 02/04/2008 11:40

thanks.were in soft water area-also i dont think cornwall has discovered waitrose yet!

Shampoo works good interestingly enough. Get some you don't like or whatever and rub it on with one of those body puff things. Mind you I live in a soft water area

cheesesarnie · 02/04/2008 11:49

oooh also worth a try!im going to have the sparkliest bathroom in the world!mn should do a range of household products!
