Looking for some advice.

i want my house to smell nice and wondered how people get their homes to smell lovely.

i saw Purdey and Fig cleaning stuff and wondered about using that- has anyone tried it? And would you recommend?

I like the idea that it doesn’t smell like ‘chemicals’ but not sure how effective it is at cleaning.

any advice?

I really like the neat products for the scent, and they are less of an investment. The smell doesn’t linger, but that’s the case with most cleaning products I find.

The smell is really nice. Doesn’t clean particularly well and the smell definitely doesn’t last longer than a minute or two. Not worth the money

Thanks for replies - I just don’t know how people have lovely smelling homes - while living in them!

think they must just clean constantly!

I agree with others - smells amazing, just OK for cleaning. I use it for light cleaning - the scent cheers me up without irritating my asthma. And I actually do use it as an air freshener too - just a quick squirt. Also, when I'm making up a new bottle I just leave the emptied little refill bottle without its cap on and let the perfume waft for a couple of days.

I get comments a lot on mine smelling nice and asking what I use but the chemical brigade will flame me GrinBlush

Windows open a lot
Air beds daily (I sit up, fold the duvet back on itself and get up, then prop pillows up on their edge)
Wax melts
Reed diffusers I tend to use the botanical candle company or valentte
I clean with the flash spray and wipe mostly or the flash with French soap
Method passion fruit shower spray
Wash throws, coats, cushion covers, pet bedding etc regularly
Tops of kitchen cupboards can hold smell as they get sticky/greasy so I have old wallpaper lining mine and change it
Get rid of dust
Febreze small spaces air fresheners

Basically I make sure everything is clean then add scent on top
I WFH and have windows open most of the time so that probably balances out the scent usage too

Candles is a good way to get the house smelling good. Lasts a few hours after the candles are blown out too
