How big rotary washing line do I need?

Hello!

I’m finally getting round to getting a rotary washing line. We are (next week!) going to be a family of four, two adults, toddler and a newborn. What size do I need? Looking on dunelm and b&q, they list in metres rather than loads of washing 😂. I’d like one able to take standard two loads of washing, we don’t have a tumble dryer and I’m fed up of airers always out so hoping to dry outside only in summer.
I also don’t accidentally want to end up with an enormous one meant for a family of 10 as our garden isn’t enormous.
Can anyone recommend a good brand as well? Is brabantia well regarded?

We have a brabantia. Its 10+ years old and going strong

I have this brand. Not their rotary one, but a wall mounted one I can fold down when not in use. I'd get the largest you can fit in your garden.

The biggest that you can. Spreading the washing out will help it to dry.

Perfect! Thanks so much, hadn’t thought about size meaning it’ll dry quicker but that makes sense. I’ll get one of the brabantia ones as they have quick delivery and reasonably priced.

We have the largest brabantia one and it's great. Can fit so much washing on it and it still gets a good breeze through it.

Get a brabantia one with a cover. They are pretty sturdy. You get what you pay for with rotary dryers.

I have had one of these for years. Just whizz it back in when you're done. Washing drys really well as it's spread out but easy to put away and takes up no room.

I have the big brabantia one and can fit 4 loads on it!
