Me and my DH had our house renovated last year, we've been staying at my mums whilst it gets ready and now it's ready we've making trips to the house just to clean up and move our stuff in slowly.
We noticed slug slime all over our new carpet in the living room and hallway. We noticed a small hole in one of the skirting boards and noticed a tiny black slug making its way out of it. We removed the slug and filled the hole up. We've searched for more but haven't found anything. We cleaned the carpet so the slime had gone and put slug pellets outside in the garden. (Small garden with no grass whatsoever) when returning to the house a couple of days later we noticed more slime and another slug on the carpet. We had previously checked the whole living room for any including under the sofas. We repeated the process of removing it and cleaning the carpet but the same thing happened again.
Is there a solution or anyone we can contact to help with this situation? Maybe a professional that could locate where the slugs are coming from. We'll be moving back with our DS who is just learning to crawl so we'd rather not have him crawling all over slug slime or come into contact with one.
Whilst the house has been getting renovated we have been putting the heating on some days to prevent damp if this is any relevance.
