ie: black mould spots on the rubber seal which are growing rapidly and joining up to form a black mess. And it doesnt smell too fresh either. What will get rid of it?

Don't know if anything will get rid of the mould but you could try giving it a quick empty wash with some soda crystals.

clean the mould off with a mild bleach solution and try a hot wash through the machine with white vinegar?

Take the drawer out and scrub the crap off that, scrub the mould with bleach, then run a hot wash, empty, with a bio tablet in.

And always leave the drawer and door open when empty after that!

moneysavingexpert forum thread on this very thing

Also - use powder and not liquids. Makes a big difference to general smell and skankiness.

Mine was like this.
You have to stop leaving washing in longer than the cycle and leave the door open.

I used Cuf with mould remover in the very gently clean the rubber seal and then ran a few boil washes with biological powder - from a box not a tablet.

cif even

popsycal · 30/03/2008 13:31

dont use liquid tablet things
do a regular biolgical hot wash with no clothes in

Thanks for all the tips
