How do you clean brushed brass bathroom taps?!

I’ve just redone my bathroom and went with brushed brass taps / shower etc and I’m really struggling to know how to clean them.

i used a bathroom spray and it lifted the gold coating from the shower plug so I’m really nervous about what to use on the rest of it. I’ve tried hot soapy water but I live in a really hard water area and it’s just not making a difference to the limescale - does anyone have any tips please ?!

Im a cleaner. In a hard water area. It’s a nightmare when clients install black/brass/copper/gold taps.
We cannot use the usual descaling products on them to deal with limescale.
I advise clients to dry the surface every time they use them. Probably a pain in the butt but these materials in a hard water area are high maintenance.

Contact the manufacturer. They might say you can use white vinegar (or it might not be compatible with your tap).
However, they usually just recommend spraying and wiping Immediately. This won’t get rid of any build up though as the vinegar needs to dwell in contact for it to be effective on build up.

@Fynoderee honestly im regretting putting them in tbh ! But thank you for your advice
i will make sure it’s dried down after use and see if the manufacturer can suggest something
