My trusty Philips Sonicare electric toothbrush has broken and I would like to replace it. However, all of the Philips electric toothbrushes on Amazon seem to be charged via USB charger, rather than the shaver socket that my old toothbrush used.
I don't have a USB socket in the bathroom. I know I could have one fitted by an electrician, but the call-out charge alone would probably cost more than the toothbrush. I do have a Samsung phone charger plug which has a USB port and I suppose I could use that, but it uses a 3-point socket so not suitable for the bathroom, and it seems a bit gross to have my toothbrush (which obviously has bits of toothpaste, saliva etc trapped in the bristles even after rinsing) charging in the kitchen, bedroom etc.
Where do you all charge your USB-powered electric toothbrushes? I feel as though I must be missing something obvious.
The ability to charge a bathroom item (toothbrush) via the shaver socket that is also in the bathroom seems so simple and convenient, that I am struggling to understand how charging via a USB port which is not usually in the bathroom is an improvement!
