Do I need to wash new baby clothes before a newborn wears them?

Same applies to bedding. If so, is there any particular brand I should use or is any non-bio ok?

Thanks!

yes. many clothes and bedding are covered in chemicals.

any non-bio should be fine.

i'd skip the fabric softener, too.

I would because they put starch in them to make them stay nice looking in the packaging. The same does not apply to second hand clothes from trusted, adoring relatives though

yes

also do an 'extra rinse' if your machine has it.

It use something like surcare for a newborn with no artificial smells / colours that are just there to look nice
