Have never used it before.
Am currently frying it in stock (5mins) and plan to throw lentils in and top with mash to make shepherds pie.Does that sound ok?
How long does it need please?
Will sit and watch and stir, awaiting replies.

that's OK - if it's Quorn mince you treat it just like frozen mince; quorn pieces you can treat like chicken pieces...

Sounds fine to me. Assume it's going in the oven too so that will cook it.

it tastes better the more you let it soak up the juices ie simmer it in plenty of flavoured liquid, wine etc, the big pieces treat more like chicken fillets. The mince is just like meat mince I find.

Thanks.
So do you treat it like meat in that it needs the oven cooking to make it safe?
Also if I put the tinned lentils in it will they turn to mush?

quorn generally takes a lot less cooking than meat, and you generally needn't worry too much about cooking til it's safe, like with meat. Just til it's hot all through. It can be a bit bland though, especially with the lentils. Lots of flavouring needed.
