Stain removal prior to throwing in the bin!

Last plea for magic cures…

item is a baby romper from Matalan which is white with baby blue print. Cheap ish material, not pure cotton.

There are shepherds pie stains all over the front. I washed it within 2 hours of the stain on a 40 wash with dr Beckmanns sachet of glo white. No luck.

I then got it out the washing and soaked it in a sink of cold water with 2 x Milton tablets. No luck.

I then sprayed it with Astonish stain remover spray and put it on a 60 wash. No luck.

It has significantly faded however still remains.

I bought it secondhand from Vinted for £3 so it’s not a big deal but I really love the outfit and thought I’d ask for any other magical ideas before I bin it and buy another one from Vinted!

Baby may have grown out of the size before you get a chance to do this, but a day outside in the sunshine is brilliant for stain removal.

Elbow grease spray or I've seen a woman on tiktok who washes all her kids white stuff in bleach and it never affects the pattern.

Sunlight, works like magic on organic stains. Wash as normal and hang it up to dry in the sun.

Stick it on a window ledge in sunlight. Works like magic.

Next time, wash with cold water and soap or washing up liquid to loosen the stain. Hot water fixes stains.

Elbow grease.Leave to soak for a while first.Never let me down.

Make a strong solution of washing detergent- almost a wash amount of powder in a couple of litres of water. Put item to soak overnight.
This gets rid of almost any stain, including blood and oil.
No need for any extra stain removal products.

Swarfega. Got a curry stain out of my jeans. The orange one is fine - it's my go to stain remover now

If you can get some napisan, that usually is amazing fpr stain removal. Then after washing leave to try in direct sunlight( hard at the mo) but that in itself is a great stain remover.

Sunlight. Ideally bright sunshine but even hanging it up in a window today will make a difference
