Burnt on jam!

Any tips for getting burnt on fruit compote off a saucepan? I forgot about it..... Have tried soaking, a dishwasher tablet in hot water, elbow grease with a scourer.... Thank you if you can offer help!

Astonish oven and cookware cleaning paste and a scourer.

I normally buy it in places like savers or home bargains or B&M. Not sure on prices online

Simmer water and washing powder in the pan. Then leave it overnight with the water in. Next day the burnt on sugar should come off easily.

Bring it to the boil with water and a tiny drop of detergent. It’s caramelised sugar.

I agree - I simmered half a scoop of bio washing powder for a couple of hours and burned stewed apple came off so not dissimilar
