Wooden floors, sticky question

I have been cleaninf my wood floors with a mix of vinegar and iol, as recommended on a website featuring eco cleaning tips. But! Now they have a slighlty sticky residue and attract dust and cat hairs which stick.
Any tips for the best way to clean wood floors that will remove the residue?
