Robot vacuum with mop function!

Are they worth it? We have a dog and soon to be 2 kids so am thinking of having it on downstairs when the kids are in bed or before we all get up. I just don’t know how good the mop would be if all it does is drag wet cloth around…
Obviously we’ll still be doing a ‘proper’ vacuum & mop when necessary but hoping this will cut down on our daily tasks.

Any recommendations for mid range ones please?

Thank you

I have the Roborock S5. I love it. It’s more of a “wipe” than a mop but does something to keep things clean between full mops. I like to add some essential oils to the mop cloth. Buy extra (unbranded) so you have a clean one whenever you need it!

Marvellous thank you was looking at either Eufy or Roborock!

I have a Roborock S5, take the hard work out of hard work, more time for G&T or Wine after work.

Roborock as well and 2 dogs. Yes it is worth it - I only mop downstairs once a week, robot is scheduled to go after every walk and does great job in maintaining the floors! Also does great job in the kitchen - I have set up a zone for him to clean by the hob/counters after dinner.

Place marking, as was just googling these today

Yes, I got one a couple of weeks ago and I absolutely love it! Does a fabulous job, although I use the vacuum function much more than the mop.

I didn't think I'd like it as much as I do, but I'm a total convert.

It sounds like there’s no choice, I have to get one! Thanks all, will bargain hunt and see what I can find :)

Got one in January after another friend was persuaded by her friends etc !

Got the lubluelu sl60d from Amazon - always listed at £200 but always a voucher to apply to bring it down to about £150. Absolutely superb.

How did you get this please?

I have the X8 and like someone above said it’s more of a wipe (with a cold cloth) than a mop but for between real mop sessions it’s fine. Same as the hoover function really. Doesn’t replace your big hoover.

SugarPlumpFairy3 · 20/02/2024 19:50

i have the Ecovacs n8 and it’s fantastic. The mop is fine for general keeping the muck down but you definitely need a proper mop round every so often too.

Linlithgow · 20/02/2024 23:02

Ecovacs debit, I thought my husband was bonkers when he got this. I'm in love with it!!! Set it for every evening, I come down to a spotless house every day!

I have a Ecovac and don't think much of the mop attachment, don't really bother with it, doesn't even get fairly light paw prints off the floor, even on the highest water setting- however it does at least have the option of changing the water flow level.

I am grateful to whoever invented these wonderful robots, so much more time to drink wine and less housework, perfect 😁🍷

I tend to spray the floor with Flash first which seems to work well.

We have a Eufy X8 Hybrid with mop function and agree it's a bit more of a wipe rather than a thorough mop. We have wooden floors downstairs with a low pile rug in the living room. Oh, and an indoor cat that seems to shed fur like crazy sometimes.

I like the fact that I can create individual rooms using the app based on its mapping of the floor area and the mop function saves us from having to do it ourselves. But we are not a heavy household and no kids so it's perfect for us. However, I've seen the X10 which appears to have a rotating mop which can apply pressure to the floor which interests me. But at the pre-market offer of £500 it's still quite expensive given there is nothing wrong with my X8.

Since buying this back in 2021, we've used our Dyson cordless less and less but on our living room rug, once a week we use the Dyson as it can be hit and miss on carpet, even a low pile one.

I have a eufy G10 hybrid. As others have said it's basically a wipe round with a cloth but it does make a difference. Never going to get rid of any tight dirt though.

I would t recommend the particular model I have. Mainly down to the functionality.

I have another eufy which is just a hoover and it has features like magnetic strips to stop it going certain areas and you can remote control it with the app.

My G10 just does straight lines and that's it. Just not enough functionality for my liking. If there wasn't such a big jump in price I'd have gone for a higher functionality model with mapping etc. maybe one day!

That’s a very good idea

Does anyone have gloss tiles? Does the robot mop leave streaks on these?

Thanks 😊
