What are these marks on my washing?

I keep getting these types of spots/marks on my dark laundry wash. Been noticing them for a while and kept thinking I’d been clumsy with food (oil spills) but I now realising they are happening during washing (or tumble drying). I only notice them on the dark wash. I use a special dark laundry detergent but not always the same brand.

any ideas? This jumper is new and now looks ruined! Several items in the same load have similar although not all spots are same size or quantity.

I was getting lots of marks on my washing but they didn't look like that. I did a complete and thorough clean of drum, seal etc, put on drum clean wash. Put Calvin in every wash, cleaned out filter- it took a few goes but now all good

Yes, thorough clean of both appliances internally (including 60 degree maintenance wash) and generally favour powder over pods. (I use powder for whites and 60 washes for towels and bedding.)

I get these occasionally, no idea why, usually on the front of the DCs school jumpers. I've found squirting s bit of washing up liquid on and washing again sorts them out
