Best slow cooker for batch cooking

Please can I ask for your recommendations for the best slow cooker? The things I would value:

  • being able to take the pan out of the slow cooker and use it in the oven or on the hob
  • Being able to set a timer/ delay timer
  • Being large enough for batch cooking eg 8 or more portions

thank you

I have a crock pot, although the Sainsbury's one I had before was better. I think it's 6L and oval so you can get a chicken inside. I think it depends on how big your portions are. Doesn't have a timer but we have one of those timer plugs.

I have a crockpot which cooks well in the oven but not on the hob because it's made of ceramic

I don't use it anymore though because everything's too dry or wet or tasteless or mushy

There is one at Argos that has a timer. But it is onli to turn off and then keep warm, rather than a delayed timer. Something to be aware of.

The Ninja slow cooker is a excellent. Think it's 8 litres, you can sear/saute with it too and you can put the pot in the oven. I love mine it's so easy to clean 👍

Thanks all; that’s really helpful. I’ve been nervous of the Ninja brand as it seems to be everywhere (we might be the only people in the country not to have an air fryer) but it sounds like it works well? Easy to clean like dishwasher-able?!

@User236792 it's not dishwasher safe but I literally put it in the sink with a drop of fairy and rinse it, nothing sticks at all. I had a digital crockpot with the ceramic bowl but even in the dishwasher food still stuck. The ninja capacity is massive too.
