Window cleaner

How much does everyone pay for their window cleaner?

Mine charges £24 and comes four weekly. He cleans not only our windows (front and back), but the frames, window sills and doors too.

Not sure if this is pricey though? We live in Cardiff.

I last had a window cleaner about 5 years ago. They do need doing now, will get them done in Late Feb for spring.

Should cost about 35 I think based on local rates.

How are your windows so dirty in just 4 weeks? Do you live in an industrial area?

KittenCatt · 27/01/2024 16:35

They don't get filthy in that time, to be fair. I just want to keep on top of it and having them done every four weeks seems reasonable to me. 😊

£30 monthly, we live just off a main artery road so absolutely need to be cleaned at that frequency.

That includes sills and frames and a conservatory. We have 3 external doors and around 12 windows.

Live in north Scotland, it's a 3 man crew that can do it in roughly 30 minutes by hand, no brushes on poles.

Monthly and I think it’s £100 odd pounds?

Avacadoandtoast · 27/01/2024 17:03

@Cincinnatus how many windows do you have?!

stayathomegardener · 27/01/2024 17:29

I've paid £80 in the past but currently have a chap that charges £12 as it's on his round.

ThePoshUns · 27/01/2024 17:57

£11, about every 7 weeks.
One of those water systems.
I did complain after the last was as windows were still dirty but they came out and redid them.
I'm in S Wales as well OP

We pay £28 every 8 weeks.

This is for 13 windows, one of which is a bay window, double front doors, a back door and a conservatory (just one and a half sides and it’s built into a recess in the house so it isn’t a 3 sides of glass)

Every alternate 8wks, they do the conservatory roof too which is an additional £20
