Removing red sauce stain from carpet

Hi all

Had company over last night. Unfortunately someone's dropped red sauce on the floor and thrown tissue ontop of it, so I hadn't noticed until this morning. It's been there all night. Can anyone advise how to get it out please?

I've tried using Astonish mixed with water and tried to dab/scrub. It doesnt budge.

Thanks

Take a small bottle (300 ml) or a mug and put two tbls washing up liquid, half a cup white vinegar, and fill with water. Put mixture on stain, and with a clean wet rag, scrub with a lot of elbow grease, first up and down, left and right, circles, ....

If the carpet is in an area where it'll get sun light, it will fade to nothing. After a very long fight with a tomato ketchup stain here and nearly ordered new carpets entirely, I just left it and it has now gone!

@YouAndMeAndThem ah that's interesting! There was a bad stain last year and after awhile it did in fact fade to nothing, it is definitely in a place that gets sunlight so that explains it! There is hope then lol!

@Payakan thank you! I was away from home for a couple of days so will give this a go today

Luckily the stain is fading away slowly :) a lot less obvious than when I first posted. Phew. Thanks!
