What is the best way to clean my unsealed floorboards?

I live in a house with floorboards in my living room, hall and bedroom. I hoover them, but have to admit, I rarely clean them. What is the best way? Any tips. I want clean floors in these areas, and I imagine they are really in need of it!

Thanks

If they are unsealed I'd probably use a weak bleach solution and a mop. Don't overwet. Let them dry then use a wax or oil to seal them. After that you can probably just use a damp cloth once in a while, no chemicals. I'm sort of guessing here based on my own experience of redoing my boards, I am no expert!

Thank you. I will do this. I think I need to clean them properly and regularly!
