Organising hacks for the kitchen

Kitchen is currently being remodelled and refitted. Very exciting.

That means the contents of my old kitchen is all piled up in a heap in the spare room. Quite overwhelming!

I would love the new kitchen to be and stay organised, so please share with me your top tips for organisation!

I feel like I'd love a label maker. 😂

@KCSIE - yes. The square 0.7 ones. I see they now do a smaller 0.3l round one but that’s probably too small for us.

as an example with the Brabantia:
largest size - I have for oats and branflakes
middle side -1.2l I think - granola, flours (fits 1kg bag), pasta (it’s fits a whole 500g bag)
small - nuts, seeds, lentils, orzo, cornflour, raisins etc. regular size bags fit whole thing

Cereal drawer I label onto of lids to see easier, pantry I label the clear fronts

@KCSIE so it depends on what you want to store. The multi pack with two medium and two small is probably a good start to see. I think they sell in John Lewis if you have one close to look

Thank you @Caspianberg that's so helpful.

It's the things like pasta, rice, lentils, cous cous, cereals that I want to start with!

Everyone that has uploaded photos - thank you so much. I wish I had the space to incorporate your ideas but they are so lovely to see.

If you can dedicate the space - a spice drawer. Lots of pics on google. Mine is my pride and joy

@KCSIE i love my kitchen, we redid it a couple of years ago after we had a massive flood abd the insurance paid out a lot of money to replace the whole lot (very good policy !). We bought an incredible used designer kitchen through an agency abd the money we saved was enough to do the renovation to the kitchen & dining room we'd anticipated having to wait 10+ years for. Organising the cupboards abd drawers made up for the 6 months it took Dh abd his builder mate to finish it 😂

@StiffyByngsDogBartholomew I'm so looking forward to organising the cupboards and drawers when our new kitchen is finished in a few weeks 😍 (not in the least because I will finally bin the stuff that DH has been hoarding 'for using one day')
