Do you ask for a new cleaner's full name and address?

Have a new cleaner starting today.
She has been recommended by a friend but am wondering if I ought to ask her for her details, I read somewhere that for insurance reasons you need a cleaner's full name and address, esp if you give her a key.
Do you have these details for your cleaner and if so, how can you for them without sounding suspicious?

I don't, but I don't give them a key either.

I'm sure if you say that you're only asking for her details as the insurance company insist on it, she won't take offence.

Imagine if you had a burglary and the police asked who had access to a key.

You say "the cleaner" and they ask for more details and you say... "umm.... well, errrr, my mate recommended her"

case closed.

Of course I am not suggesting for one minute that your cleaner will nick everything out of your house, but you should deffo know her name, address, phone number etc.

And probably nat. ins. no if you are planning on paying her.

And you ask for them by saying on her first day "we'll just get the formalities out of the way first... I need your name, address, nat. ins. no. (and anything else you want to know)
