Towels too stiff

My washing machine draw is out of action so I've started using Bold liquid that you squirt into the lid then put in the machine to wash the clothes. The clothes come out ok but my towels are as stiff as a board. I've tried using less liquid and switching to other brands but nothing seems to work. Can anybody give me some advice on how to solve this please?!🙏

I think the soap isnt rinsing out the towels white vinegar and some bicarb of soda.

You might need to change your cycle to one with a longer rinse. Also use only half the recommended amount of liquid. And tumble dry after a good shake.

Soap powder not liquid

extra rinse

and remember that stiff towels absorb more water from you

Put soap powder in the drum before adding the clothes ( or add powder to a jug of hot water, then pour it into the drum. No need to switch to liquid detergent.
