Damp flannels

Does anyone have any suggestions for where to keep used flannels until they're washed?

Don't like adding them to the washing basket when damp, but leaving them in the bathroom isn't really working with so many flannels!

Thanks.

I've got a plastic basket that I use like

I use a plastic bowl, smallish mixing bowl size

I put them on the radiator to dry out then stick them in the wash basket.

We have a 'wet bag' (the type used for cloth sanitary towels) into which we chuck the flannels, and lob that in the laundry basket. We tend to have a daily laundry wash, so the damp flannels do not linger for long.

Thank you!

They currently get hung on a towel ring and end up a big bunch of them 🙈 (family)

I tend to do a wash mid week and the rest at weekends as we're pretty busy.

Will look into a plastic basket and the wet bag. Thanks!

I use an old nappy bucket. We get through a lot, the teens use one to wipe their dinner off their face for example and then wouldn’t use it again. I probably wash 16ish every 3 days.

Yep, small plastic bucket. We use a couple of flannels a day between us.

Boots do a shower bag, it's only a couple of quid. Might do the trick.

Same - I put them on the heated towel rail to dry and then put them in the wash. I use 2 a day and they’re dry by evening / morning (I use them for face cleansing).

Devilsmommy · 01/01/2024 15:57

Couldn't you just chuck them in th washing machine

ErrolTheRednosedDragon · 01/01/2024 16:00

I dry them on a radiator rack then chuck in a basket in the bathroom to wash with a load of towels

I always peg out used wet flannels until i can wash them. Drying on radiators causes mould in my house.
