How does one get the smell of faeces out of the carpet????

Been there since yesterday. we found the little brown culprit but the smell is still there. scrubbed it yesterday (picture me sniffing the carpet then scrubbing. )
but it's still lingering.
barring getting a rug doctor is there anything i can do?

apparently biological washing powder breaks down the enzymes or something so I would try that maybe.

diluted bio was powder/liquid and a scrubbing brush

unkess you are a soap nut user in which case I would try bicarb!

Just made a solution scrubbed it in,then used a steam cleaner on it.

We have a pet accident spray that works wonders - the stain and smell go straight away with no scrubbing

Oxy.
We use it fro everything, you just mix it with water and put it on the stain, then soak up with kitchen roll.
DD was sick all over my house at xmas and it got that up.

the trouble is we can't see anything. just smell it.
i'm gong to have to put up with a pooey carpet until the weekend aren't i. balls.

Zoflora - little bottle of extremely concentrated disinfectant with strong flowery smell which is not great but obliterates poos smells really well.

my aunt suggested to me for this prob bio wash powder. i've just been out to get some, am hoping it works, as my dc have had a nasty tummy bug and i can still smell it..

i bought some pet mess spray. fingers crossed.

Bi carb soda kills all smells, works a treat, sprinkle on leave it overnight, hey ho, smells banished.
