I bought a VAX carpet cleaner and it’s been brilliant, can clean my carpets and rugs when I want and I get a bit of horror/satisfaction at the colour of the water after use.

I finally bought a heated airer after years of procrastinating. I didn't get the expensive drysoon one but a John Lewis version and it's been fantastic. Sad to admit but I get a little bit excited about doing laundry in the autumn and winter months now!

I bought a Shark cordless hoover that folds in half to replace a pull along old heavy Dyson cyclone not cordless hoover that I'd had for over 10 years. It's been amazing! I found lugging the old one around the house such hard work that I'd do one main hoover a week so the house would get to the stage fairly early in the week where I could see it needed the hoover out but it was such a major effort to do it. Plus there aren't enough sockets in our house so getting to some areas wasn't easy. Whereas now, my new hoover is so much lighter it comes out every morning and I can whip round the house in less than 10 mins. Plus it takes up hardly any storage space. It was a great investment.

Also bought a shark cordless hoover.
Why have I waited till now is all I can say.

Scrub daddy set of six.

I like the face. It makes me want to clean things.

Also the old style sponges with the green scrubby side always sat damp and went manky.

Whereas these can be hung up via the eyes or mouth to stay aired. And I go to the trouble of keeping them clean. Otherwise it feels like abuse of a hopeful little face that is smiling at you. It would be like scowling at a newly smiling baby not to keep them clean. Just wrong on every level.

A dehumidifier, I can dry two loads of washing overnight in the winter and it barely costs anything!

Maneattraction · 02/01/2024 23:13

@faithtrustandpixiedust How do you do that? Do you hang the washing on airers in a closed room with the dehumidifier?

@floraflo I am 50/50 on a heated airer or a dehumidifier, I can’t work out what would be best!

A shark cordless hoover. It's great.

@Maneattraction yep, I use the kitchen cos it's the smallest room in the house and do exactly that. Haven't used the dryer in months!
