Miele Dishwasher Broken in under 6 months

Thought i'd share with others my experience of owning a Miele dishwasher. I never thought i'd have the money to buy one but heard lots of people saying how they last 20 years and after the last 2nd hand one we bought starting leaking after not very long, we decided to invest in a Miele dishwasher. I can't tell you how much I regret it. After less than 6 months the machine developed a fault which meant it couldn't be used and since then we've waited more than 6 weeks for it to be fixed. The last appointment was cancelled buy Miele at only an hours notice and every time we call or email we never hear back and have to do all the chasing. I would NEVER buy a Miele appliance ever again. I've since read all the terrible reviews online but wish i'd seen them sooner.

Ours also broke after two months! An engineer came to fix it though. Are you calling the manufacturer number?

Ugh, that's a shame. Ours was bought with our house 15 years ago and still going strong, has the brand gone downhill?

oh dear, hope it's been working okay since? Yeh using the manufacturer's number, hoped they'd be better than this but had to wait so much longer than had hoped for such an expensive machine.

Heard great things about old ones but I don't think they make them like they used to. Read lots of bad reviews recently online about people who have had similar issues and the really poor customer service.

I'm on my 4th cancellation of my diswasher repair (on the day with no notice) with Miele. Fully expecting the 5th one this week. I've sent 3 complaint emails and didn't even get a response until the 3rd, and that was only an acknowledgement.
Like you it is only after this started I have found all the terrible reviews about customer service. I've slated them on their Facebook page (which is inactive) and been rewarded with a Facebook "Top Fan of Miele"award which is ironic. All my Facebook friends are invested in the Miele saga now. I've slated them on the local groups.
After they cancel this week (which they will), I intend to send a recorded delivery complaint to the managing director and service manager.
Have you managed to get yours fixed yet? Out of curiousity what is their reason for cancelling? Mine is getting the parts apparantly.

I’m the opposite. I will only buy Miele appliances. We did have a fault with out DW after a few months, it’s was quickly repaired under warranty and no issues since. That was around 8 years ago. It gets used 2-3 times a day.

Not really the purpose of the thread but get on marketplace or eBay I got 2nd hand one £30 to keep us going when doing kitchen

gave it away it’s still going now
