How much cleaning to expect from a cleaner?

How much cleaning would you expect your cleaner to get through in three hours? I'm just wondering what's a reasonable amount to expect.

Also, how long does it take your cleaner to clean your home, and what size home would that be?

My cleaner does the whole house in 2.5 hours- it's a 4 bed and the only bit she won't get to is the loft (but she'll do a quick clean of the ensuite bathroom). She's here twice a week though (5 hours in total) and knows the house well so I suppose that makes it quicker

Depends on size of house and what you want the cleaner to do. My cleaner came to look around my house before she agreed to clean it. I told her what I wanted done and how long I estimated it would take, based on how long it takes me to clean the house. She agreed that what I was asking was reasonable.

I then put it all in writing and gave her a copy, as she works with a team and I thought it would be useful for communicating to the others what needed doing each week, which products to use, where to find things, where to put things, etc.

Oh wow! Do you mind me asking how much you pay her for such a speedy service?
I have a two bed and haven't been able to find anyone to do it in less than four hours at a time.

but what was the time and size? trying to build up a general idea.

Cleaner of 10yrs here.
I would say UP TO 3 beds, UP TO 2 bath, one reception room.

BUT, every home is different. Some have lots of jars/recipe booke, appliances on the kitchen worktops, tables laid with table mats, pet hair, multiple bottles in the shower and around the sink which all takes times to move and replace. Carpet or hard floors that all need mopping? Large rooms? More than two floors?

If you can only afford 3hrs, ask the cleaner what can be achieved.
If you want the whole house done, be guided by the cleaner as to how long this will take.
The first clean will take longer.
