DS4 had a throwing up bug over the weekend. He didn't make it to the toilet in time for event, and threw up all over the sofa and the carpet.
We've cleaned it all up but we're having trouble getting rid of the smell of vomit in the living room. We've tried Oxy Spot sprary, and separately leaving on bicarbonate of soda (without any vinegar or water though).
What products / techniques can anyone recommend? I don't have a carpet cleaning machine at home, so renting one would be a last resort, as would paying a professional to clean them (although as a last resort I guess we'll have to).
We're hoping to replace this carpet next year anyway but any help getting rid of the smell would be amazing.
