Quartz worktop cleaner

Hello!

New quartz worktops fitted and have been told to clean with warm soapy water.

Any recommendations on a spray cleaner to use safely please (I've got OCD and soapy water really isn't doing it for me!!)

Thanks all

We use normal anti-bac on ours, it's pretty hard to damage quartz.

LemonFrosting · 10/12/2023 13:19

Thank you! I'm petrified of damaging it!!

I use window cleaner.

Just soap and water is not a good idea. Over time a layer of detergent will build up on the quartz making it appear dull. Also you will start to get ring marks from cups etc. This will be marks in the layer of detergent and not the quartz so don’t panic.

Best product for cleaning is Stainproof worktop spray. Or you can use window cleaner as already mentioned.

Disclaimer. I have over 27 years experience in the granite and quartz worktop industry and have owned and run my own company for 21 years.

I can post a link to the cleaner if you like but here to advise more than try and sell anything.

Thank you so much for this! I would never have thought of using window cleaner.

Would you mind providing a link to the cleaner please? Can it be used daily?

Thank you again! The Wren showroom are quick enough to sell it to you but give no info on how best to look after it!

You can use that Flash spray/wipe/done stuff.

Ihateslugs · 10/12/2023 20:23

I have a quartz worktop and use diluted antibacterial dishwashing liquid on a daily basis and an antibacterial spray about every two weeks. I always use a dry soft cloth to polish the worktop afterwards.

I asked the guys who fitted the worktop what to use and they said washing up liquid with a dry cloth afterwards but I like to use antibacterial spray occasionally especially after I’ve been cooking raw meat or fish.

I am more concerned about how to clean the new induction hob without scratching it after a spillage!

I've bought this Tesco marble/granite spray... but to be honest I find old fashioned cream cleaner (cif/jif?) Best

When I had mine fitted they left spray and instructions. I only ever used a veg based cleaner for mine anyway. It was fine. No rings and no build up.

I've read about this and wanted to get some but it seems to have been out of stock a while. I'm having quartz counters fitted in a couple of weeks so wanted to use this from the get go. Hopefully they get more stock in soon.

Mysticaldeer · 10/10/2025 13:32

I've got quartz. I used anything and everything on it. It seems bombproof.
I wipe it daily with a micro cloth and water.

Use window cleaner for streaks. Kitchen spray for grease. I've used wd40 to give a nice sheen. Or anything that's in my hand as I walk past.

Hey, Rejuvenata is back in stock for now but not sure how long stock will last.
