Came gate transmitter

Does anyone know if I can program a came gate transmitter if the existing transmitter isn't working? I've ordered a new one from Timpsons and it comes with really detailed instructions on how to do the set up but the existing transmitter is broken. Otherwise I'll have to call out the engineer but would be great to save on the cost of this if possible! Thank you

You should be able to do this yourself - look at Youtube

@TheOccupier I've looked at YouTube but the only videos I can find show you how to programme a new fob using an existing one but the existing one doesn't work, that's the problem

Ah right, I've only ever done it with an existing one (thought you might have a spare). It should be possible though if you can get into the control box for the gate - the one near the gate itself.
