Duvet recommendations

We have bought a lovely new bed and now hoping to buy a really nice duvet to complete it. Our current one is from m&s but has separated into clumps inside, leaving us almost under a sheet in parts and I'm cold!

Some thoughts:

  • Not down of any kind has DH has hay-fever
  • Ideally all seasons so we can switch it up rather than buy two duvets
  • I tend to feel cold at night and my DH feels warmer
  • prepared to pay a bit more for a great duvet that will last and not clump up like our current one.

Any recommendations? Thanks

Dh and I have the worst hay fever ever but our down M and S duvet doesn't affect us at all, I bought it in the sales last year. It's so cosy, like sleeping under a cloud .

Ah right, that's interesting. Had always thought to avoid. Will check them out. Do you find it ok year round?

I have a 15 tog one for the winter and a 4.5 tog one for the summer.

We are converts to wool duvets - got ours from here and it keeps your warmth in. Also recommended to a friend and she wouldn't go back to any other type of duvet https://www.thewoolroom.com/wool-duvets/

Another convert to wool duvets here. Mine is also from woolroom an 11-14 tog one. It's not heavy nor too hot,I've used it all summer and been comfortable. Now it's chilly at night It's perfect. I would never go back to a polyester or down one.

Thanks both, I have bought one from the wool room and can't wait to get it!

Seconded ! Absolutely love mine!

I was going to suggest a wool duvet but I see you have just bought one. We love ours and so far touchwood I've not woken up freezing cold after having night sweats. I bought the warm one from Woolroom in their Black Friday sale, never done Black Friday shopping before, and it's great. I have a blanket at the foot of the bed for the dog but have only needed to use it on us a couple of times as it took me a bit longer to warm up.

Thanks so much! I got one from the wool room too, they had a 25% off offer on 😁 and I can't wait to receive it. Dispatched today, woohoo!

Well, it did not disappoint! What an incredible difference! Sooo warm and cosy, just the right weight and just so much better than the awful duvet we were using before. Thanks so much for the advice. I'll never go back now!

Another vote for a wool one here.

Just come accrues your post can I ask what weight you got?

We got the warmest one. From memory I think there were 3 levels along the lines of light, warm and very warm. It has been great. We will probably get the light one for summer later in the year and skip the middle one.
