I have just bought a shiny new magimix food processor but have fallen the first hurdle! Just trying to unbox the thing and wash it up!

Tried do to call Magimix but they don't have a customer service helpline in the U.K.! 😱

So my question is, how on earth do you get the black bit out of the double pusher!?! Sure it is easy I am missing something but it won't come out!!

It's this bit....

Mine just slides out! Maybe yours is jammed? Can you rock it lightly until it shifts?

JellyBabyToManual · 28/11/2023 15:13

You have to turn it. I’m not at home so can’t check, but will try and remember to look later if you need better instructions than that!

BeansOnToast32 · 28/11/2023 15:46

Yeah twist the black bit and pull up. It sort of clips under the clear pusher.

MalcolmTuckersSwearBox · 28/11/2023 15:52

It’s a twist. There’s a little lip that has to disengage

MalcolmTuckersSwearBox · 28/11/2023 15:54

You can actually see it in the image you posted. Sort of push it down a bit (apply a bit of downward pressure) and then turn 45 degrees, possibly 90, I can’t remember without getting mine out and trying it, then you should be able to slide it out.

I can't help with this problem, but can tell you my magimix is 20 years old, used at least every other day and still as good as new.

What kind of things do you use it for ?

Milknosugarta · 28/11/2023 16:13

I make my own bread every weekend, and mix it up in the magimix. I use it for cakes, pastry, sauces, chopping veg for soup and casseroles.
Smoothies
Whipping cream
Pizza dough.
About the only thing I don't use is the fruit juicer attachment.

Fab! Thanks everyone. Push down and twist did it!

@Milknosugarta thanks - I forget they're really good for pastry like shortcrust

I'm always dithering about whether to get one or not

For future reference, OP, the spares seller in the UK are really helpful. They are called BBS, Google under magimix spares ( sorry I don’t know how to link).

I had my first Magimix in 1976, and I have had one ever since, bought it from BBS and have had ( very occasional) new bowls etc from them .
