Limescale on granite

PippyLongTits · 23/11/2023 15:37

Any tips on how to remove limescale from a granite counter top? I live in a hard water area and have limescale build up around the taps and the draining board. Have read that lemon/vinegar should be used for limescale, but lemon/vinegar are not recommended for granite. Help!

I make sure, as much as possible, to dry any water but marks do happen. I use Method granite cleaner, with a small scourer and a bit of my elbow grease and it removes the marks. Been doing this for seven years and never used any other product other than an occasion soapy wipe down and then drying the area. I have a rubber drainer by the sink and this works well with avoiding any draining marks. It is this one (I have a black granite worktop and it also protects items from hitting the hard surface, so glasses that need to be hand washed) https://www.johnlewis.com/joseph-joseph-flume-draining-mat-large/p4237187?s_ppc=2dx_mixed_home_BAU&tmad=c&tmcampid=2&gad_source=1&gclid=EAIaIQobChMImp6F3JGcgwMVTo5QBh0EUgH0EAQYBCABEgLZf_D_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds
