Best cordless vacuum for stairs?

I have 5 flights of stairs with a carpet runner that are really annoying to vacuum with a corded vacuum

Is this something cordless vacuums are better for?

My mum has a hoover cordless but it seems heavy and ineffective
Does anyone have the Henry quick and if so would you recommend it?

No idea about Henry but I have a Vax blade. It’s really light and manageable, even for my arthritic wrists. It’s so quick and easy to whizz up the stairs and all around the house. I would get a model with the two battery packs though, otherwise you’d have to stop when the battery runs out of power and have to wait for it to recharge.
