How do I find a good cleaner??

After months of asking around and approaching two separate cleaning companies online, I am so fed up looking for a decent cleaner and trying new people!
All I get through the door is sub standard service, either don't speak English (which wouldn't be a problem if they knew what they were doing and didn't need constant direction) or just not good enough.
I pay top money as gave up long a go on trying to find 'value for money'.

After reading reviews of some of the online companies I finally picked Fantastic Services. The only fantastic thing was their marketing team selling me a membership but after the poor service delivered I was passed on to bots and down the rabbit hole of online messages (all humans disappeared)..

I don't get this - how can it be so hard? I only experienced this issue in the last 2-3 years. Previously I had lovely hard working cleaners and now it like finding Gold!

Anyone know of a truly honest and professional service out there?? (I'm in London so don't think there is a shortage.. I hope)

Thank you

This is the only agency that has been excellent - it is not cheap but cleaners get the living wage. A manager comes round to visit your home first to take notes on what you want to get done in a clean and the size/complexity/state of your house and then says how many hours you will need to achieve that. So realistic expectations are set at the beginning of what can be done in the number of hours you select.

I just spoke to them.. they will do the first assessment but as a high-level quote, they said an average £22 p/h..?? that is a lot!

Any other service providers anyone knows/uses and is happy, please?
