If its burnt on food then Astonish oven and cookware cleaning paste is great used with a scourer. I like the Brilliant scourer

A scoop of washing powder, water bring to the boil for a bit then stir/scrape round the bottom with a wooden spoon is generally my starting point for burnt on stuff

Is that burnt on food or has the enamel worn away? It's hard to tell from your photo but if it's the enamel you can't really do anything, it just needs binning.

Biological washing powder, according to the chemist I shared with in student digs.

Use biological washing powder/liquid

If it's burnt on food then cover the surface with lemon juice, leave it to soak for a few hours.and then clean with a scourer. Burnt residue comes off a treat.

Barkeepers friend is great for stuff like this

Notsonifty50 · 19/11/2023 10:05

If burnt on food then fill with water, put in a dishwasher tablet and bring to the boil on the hob. It will all just lift off.

flagsrus · 19/11/2023 10:11

If it's burned food, dissolve a dishwasher tablet in the pan, bring to the boil, turn off and leave to soak.

If it’s through the enamel it will need to be binned

Thanks, everyone, and sorry for the late reply. The enamel is intact, thankfully. I've managed to clean it now thanks to the great tips here. Thanks 🙂
