Carpet upholstery spot cleaners - a thrilling thread indeed!

I can justify a small carpet cleaner now. I really wanted a little green machine but I don't think I can get one in the uk.

This is for doing my static van, a holiday home I'm planning g to rent out and my own manky dog slobbered sofas.

The swan brand one flogged by that cleaning lady is much cheaper - I think £60-70. Is this a false economy? The vax one is more like £120.

I'm irrationally excited about this though.

I have a bissel spot clean pro. Got it in the sale for around £130 and it's single handedly the best investment I made. I have an 18 month old who has projectile vomited many times and this machine just effortlessly cleans it up in less than a minute. Food spillages. Stains etc, car seats prams I've used it to clean almost everything my child owns and it paid for itself already. I regularly lend it to friends to clean their car seats or sofas and 2 years later it's still going strong. Not sure about any others, I have a few products from shark and don't really rate them but deffo think it's worth paying a little extra and checking reviews. Especially with sales around the corner you could pick up a right bargain.

Oh interesting and bissel was originally the brand I wanted. You have described the dream! My dds are well past piling though I remember that well with dd2 🤣

Another vote for the Bissell - it's so worth the investment! Like @mamaof2under2 it's visited a few friend's homes too. Definitely keep an eye on Black Friday as I think we got ours for £100 or so during one of those sales.

I have just bought a new Vax one and it is brilliant. I love that the dirty water is much easier to get rid of compared to my previous Vax one. It got out old soot marks in the carpet from our fireplace from where we clean the chimney. Recently the dog had a bleeding paw and got it every where! It got that out really easily despite not being able to clean it for an hour or so. It might be a bit big for your camper though.

I've bought the branded because I was impressed with it but you can use what you like!
