Help me choose a washing machine and a dryer!

I am lost in a sea of washing machine (and dryer!) choices.

Ideally I want something that will take a big load (9 - 11kg? Is that enough for a duvet?) but also we have a little one who is not quite 3 months old, and we're using cloth nappies. I know they need a longer wash (2 hours +) and so an auto dosing machine that adjusts time based on the load may not work for us.

I am DREADFUL for missing a sock or a top or whatever, so the ability to add to the wash is a must, as is the ablity to schedule start/finish time.

Something with a quick wash setting would be brilliant.

And finally...something with a matching nice dryer that looks the part that matches it would be bloody brilliant. Ideally similar weight load. The dryer will need to be a condenser, but sadly can't be a heat pump as it will be living in a v cold utility without heating of any sort, and ain't nobody got time for that.

If I am REALLY being fussy, I'd prefer a grey/black option but really that's secondary to the rest of it.

Do you have a washer & dryer combo that you love? I'm ALL EARS. Budget is approx £1k for both washer and dryer, but we could stretch to go over if we needed to.
I'm looking at Samsung but all the dryers seem to be heat pumps, and have also considered Bosch, but I don't know how good they are in comparison?

We went with an LG washing machine as the brand was recommended by two different people. It’s 10.5kg with a Turbowash function (5kg in 59 minutes), a baby items function and a fast 15 minute cycle for 2kg. We got it to fit our duvet and reduce the number of washes we were doing. I can’t remember the model but it was about the £500 mark. Also connects to DH phone who WFH so sends a notification when it’s done.

I had a Samsung years ago and I loved it so I don’t think you can go wrong with them.

We don’t use a tumble dryer.

I'd get a heat pump dryer as they are way more efficient.

(So cheap to run, which is no joke these days).
