I broke the handle on ours the other day

StroppyTop · 05/11/2023 17:48

Me too! I’ve got an old one that’s functional but past its best and I’ve bought two now that are absolute crap.

newtlover · 05/11/2023 18:31

also helpful to be told the crap ones so we can avoid😆

BCBird · 05/11/2023 18:33

Had one from IKEA years ago. Thought it was the answer to.my.prayers. wasn't brilliant though. Not very sturdy

husbandcallsmepickle · 05/11/2023 18:41

We bought a cheap set off Amazon. Wouldn't recommend, it didn't last

Scampuss · 05/11/2023 19:03

I have had this one for years, it does the job.

£35!!! I thought the one I saw at Costco for £10 the other day was overpriced.

And everyone is saying their cheap ones broke or were crap...

Mine's at least 12 years old and going strong.

Davros · 05/11/2023 19:15

Me too but I want that's got a "comb" to scrape hair and dust into the pan

IbizaToTheNorfolkBroads · 05/11/2023 21:27

I got mine from Tesco for about £10, about 18 months ago

I'll look! Thanks.

I'm hoping for one where I don't have to bend to use it. I'm an average 5ft 4. I'm not sure whether I need a talk one eg 120cm instead of 90cm .

I'm also keen to know the rubbish ones. I saw the oxo one looked good but possible too low.

Got ours from B and Q. Brush is angled which is useful

marmaladeandpeanutbutter · 05/11/2023 22:13

Thanks. Another on the list.

I have the oxo one and it doesn’t feel low to me (5ft 6). Very sturdy and good “comb”

marmaladeandpeanutbutter · 05/11/2023 22:23

That's interesting. I usually don't use a long handled one so I wasn't sure. I don't want to stoop as I sometimes get backache.

Davros · 05/11/2023 22:49

ChickenPicken that Oxo one is just what I want, I think a "comb" is essential

BetsyBobbins · 05/11/2023 23:02

Bought ours at Dunelm, I think it was around 17 quid, let me try to find it

Thank you.

Yes I am leaning towards a comb one.

I've just put that Amazon one in for an example but not sure if there are better ones out there? Need sturdy, tall (I'm 5.9) and small enough to go in side of cupboard or behind bin
