Descaler.

Or bar keepers friend and some elbow grease.

You can also soak in vinegar and scrub off.

I just spray mine all over, pulling the hose so the spray gets all in the ridges. Leave it as long as possible then, pulling it straight again, rub a cleaning sponge up and down it. I do it weekly to keep on top of it.

Sorry, I spray weekly with flash with bleach.

Take it off and out it in a bowl with descaker or white vinegar. Rinse and return

Tinfoil works well

I live in a hard water area and mine was like this.
Tried to clean unsuccessfully so just bought a new one!

Viakal spray from Ocado or Home Bargains. I spray mine regularly, let it soak, then rinse off. If it's very bad I scrub it with a tile brush before rinsing, then spray Viakal again, let it soak and rinse the Viakal off.

It's much faster and more effective than using vinegar.

Pink Stuff worked on mine.

They are dead cheap in B&Q!

You can also buy one that's covered with a clear plastic tube so you never need to clean except a wipe down. Or just plain smooth chrome.

White vinegar, or replace it. If the latter, clean with white vinegar regularly.

I use a solution of 200ml white vinegar, 50ml of isopropyl alcohol (rubbing alcohol), a drop or two of washing up liquid, then topped up to 500ml with water. I use this for everything.

You can add a couple of drops of your favourite essential oil if you would like a better aroma.
