Hi does anyone have any advice?

I have 2 dogs and although we clean and hoover regularly and wash the dogs, the house occasionally smells doggy. Can anything be done to help this? I also have a baby so I try not to light candles too often as I know they're not great. .. thanks!! 😬

Steam cleaner over the dog beds. I also find that my dog's lead and collar get smelly if they aren't washed regularly as they get wet and muddy. It's especially bad in winter.

We have solid floors which also helps, but I use the solid floor adapter of the carpet cleaner too.

Daily brushing of the dog as well, but I imagine that is also on your regular list.

Thanks! I might get the steam cleaner actually- can you recommend any? Yes I think the carpet is the main culprit. And the sofa I guess..

I have two steam cleaners. A small karcher one, and a larger one made by Dupray I think. I'll find the model numbers for you tomorrow. The karcher is sufficient for the dog beds.

I also have a Karcher puzzi which has an upholstery attachment. You can get refurbished ones from the karcher outlet centre from time to time.

Ensure you open windows daily to circulate fresh air into the house and get rid of old, stale air. It's amazing how many of my friends with dogs just don't eep a window open and the house smells definitely wooffy.

We don't have carpets and all the dog bedding goes in the machine on the weekends yet the sitting room still smells distinctly of dog-cheese. I do love my little DDog but once he's gone I'm never getting another one.

Sorry that's probably not very helpful.

That's what I said, but here I am with another furry little bastard bundle of joy on my lap.

Dont let them on the sofa, or put blankets on the sofa and only let them on the blankets (and wash them weekly)
Def wash the collars and leads
Steam the carpets
Open windows regularly
