Meaco Dehumidifier 'Laundry Mode'

Does anyone with a Meaco have any thoughts about whether this is useful? Does it actually make any difference to how quickly/efficiently it dries washing?

My Meaco sounds like its fans are running faster in Laundry Mode. But my house rarely gets down to 50% humidity in winter, so if I power up the dehumidifier it's usually busy dehumidifying – so the fan speed is the only thing I notice.

But if your house frequently reaches the normal 50% humidity switch-off point, then the Laundry Mode which keeps the dehumidifier chugging away until it reaches (something like) 30% or you switch off manually, should be making a difference.

Yes, it works well for me. Best shut in a small room to dry it though.

Laundry mode keeps them on constantly so yes will get drying done sooner. Normal modes get to a certain humidity, depending on what you've set it to, then shut off until humidity rises that high again. So no breaks in laundry mode, just constant drying.

its so satisfying emptying the water out. Sorry that doesn’t answer your question but I on,y ever use laundry mode and it certainly dries the clothes

Laundry mode automatically cuts off after 6 hours I think so I don't use it

I just turn it on as per normal

Thank you. I'm quite impressed with how it's working in our cold and damp bathroom.. it's made a huge difference, but not at all impressed with it drying washing.

I do an extra spin in the washing machine before using the laundry setting, everything is dried within 6 hours.
