Mould on shower curtains

Other than opening windows and using the dehumidifier, how do people manage this? They get put through the washer semi regularly, but I noticed they still have mildewy (?) spots on. I gave them a quick dilute bleach spray before washing, but they still have it. I'm a bit reluctant to do nuclear on them straight away, but any thoughts? TIA.

How often is 'semi regularly'?
How hot is the wash?
How often is the rest of the bathroom bleached?

Dettol green mould spray.

Washing 'semi regularly' sounds like ' not very often'. Have two shower curtains and wash one weekly. Spray the bottom of the curtain with diluted bleach, leave for half an hour, rinse off under the cold tap, then wash with other items. Use bio detergent.

Bleach is not a mould killer. It is a mould bleacher.

Methylated spirits or vinegar kill mould. First scrub with soap and water to remove surface spores. Then wipe, spray or dip into metho or vinegar (cheapest from supermarket) and, after a bit scrub it and wash again. Must be properly dry.

Also, wipe any surface your shower curtain rests against with metho or vinegar to break your cycle.

We wash ours about once a month and put a cap of antibacterial detergent in, gets rid of it every time, unfortunately doesn't stop it returning

Thanks all. Will have a go at suggestions.
