Help! - removing an old candle from a glass candleholder

Hope you can see from the picture what my problem is! The wax has melted out and I can't fit the old candle back out. Any wise mumsnetters know how to solve this?

If there is no metal pop it into the microwave and slow heat up the wax

Or if there is metal in the wick put it in a hot water bath

V hot water but be careful not to wash the wax down the plug hole
