Those who do TOMM, is the app worth it?

I'm doing TOMM bootcamp this week and then hoping to start the proper TOMM routing from next week. I'm just following the free printables on the website at the minute, but I might have to customise her routine quite a lot, so wondered if the app would be helpful. If you use the app, how do you find it? Is it a big help or would you manage just as well with a tick list on paper?
TIA

I loathe housework. I get angry just at the thought of it and the utter waste of time it is. But I subscribe to the app. It is hands down the best £3 something I spend all month. There are loads of different cleans on it. I tried doing TOMM without it but just couldn't be arsed. The guided cleans keep me going.

What is TOMM?

Angrycat2768 · 30/10/2023 16:59

The organised Mum Method. It is guided cleaning/ housework app

I liked the app but started using my own spreadsheet (mainly to keep track of tasks that don't need doing every week).
I'm using it again now just for the guided cleans and I love it.

Thanks! Are the guided cleans included in the £5.99 app purchase or is there also a subscription?

I'm not sure if the app purchase is something else. I pay for the patreon. There are lots of specific cleans on different themes.

I like the app, it helps keep you on track and you can customise your routine too

Gnomegnomegnome · 31/10/2023 15:51

The £5.99 is a one off purchase for just the app. The £3 a month is the guided cleans, ‘rock the housework’.

I just use the app @amy1313 and I find it quite useful.

There's long been an app as a one-off payment. This functions mainly as interactive check-lists, and keeps you up to date with where in the cycle you are. It is customisable.

The TOM Rocks subscription can be done within it and is access to hundreds of guided cleans that talk you through the method, free standing jobs, general productivity sessions. It's also accessible on Patreon but that is slightly harder to navigate.

Thanks everyone, that's all very helpful!

I've had the app for ages but then subscribed to Patreon and I find the guided cleans so useful. I think it's something to do with body doubling and jt keeps me going when I'd give up if I was doing it on my own. I've now subscribed to the updated app for the guided cleans. The app on its own is fine for checklists.
