Best duvet

I hate to think how old our duvet is (at least 20+ years) so looking to get a new one - King Size.

However, they range so massively in price - £14 in Primark, £22 Dunelm, £42.50 in M&S, £220! John Lewis.

Any tips as to what to look for and how to chose please

Are you looking for feather, artificial, wool?
My favourite is goose down but I'm not sure I would get one now due to the cruelty. I think there are "cruelty free" ones but I'm not sure if they genuinely are.
